"Movie" Overview
This off-beat comedy by independent filmmaker Frank Sluszka is an example of life imitating art imitating life, as Alex Walker and Evan Campo make a low-budget movie and resort to nefarious means to finance it, a distinction this movie is rumored to share. Alex, the director, is an irrepressible joker who delights in humiliating his DP, Evan, with embarrassing accusations. Producer, Cindy, is an erotic masseuse who makes house calls to help with the finances. John Booth, the lead actor in the movie within the movie is just short of psychopathic. His foil, Brian, specializes in gay Asian porn, and Brian's agent, Mr. Johnathon has lots of creative suggestions for improving the script. Marcus, the eccentric drama professor, and Ozzie, the bird-loving drug dealer, add more lunacy to the zany cast of characters.
